Red Light Therapy
Red Light Therapy is the latest trend in skin rejuvenation and anti-aging treatments, and we are proud to offer this latest technology at Mango Bay. Red Light therapy penetrates through the outer layers of skin down to the fatty layer, where it stimulates the skin cells to increase production of collagen, elastin and other proteins that give younger people that smooth, firm healthy looking skin. As we age, our skin’s production of collagen and elastin diminishes resulting in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and sagging skin. However, over time Red Light therapy treatments can help older skin regain a more youthful toned appearance.

Is Red Light Therapy Safe?
Unlike many other cosmetic treatments, Red Light therapy is non- invasive and completely harmless and painless. According to the FDA Red Light at 633nm has a ‘non-significant’ risk and is safe for the eyes, however it is recommended to wear approved Red Light eyewear for your own comfort, due to the brightness of the bulbs.
Red Light therapy is safe for all skin types with the exception of people who have light sensitivity or are taking certain medications.
How do I prepare for my Red Light Therapy Session?
To get the most out of your Red Light Therapy Session, we recommend you arrive to your session with clean skin. This means showering before you arrive and removing any makeup or lotions you may have on your skin.
At Mango Bay we sell a professional line of Red Light Therapy products designed to accelerate and improve your results.
How soon before I see results?
Results vary from person to person and can depend on the age and condition of your skin. However, some people start to see improvements such as overall cleaner, brighter and tighter feeling skin within the first few weeks. Long term therapy results in a more even skin tone and texture as well as a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles thus revealing vibrant healthier looking skin.
How long do results last?
Results will depend on the length of treatment and the condition of your skin prior to beginning treatment. Skin rejuvenation is a dynamic process. If maintenance sessions are discontinued a gradual loss of results will occur over time.
